The \u201cYouth Leadership \u2013 The Exelixis Institute\u201d is a Greek Non-Governmental Organization whose primary goal is to train the next generation of leaders, originated from the entire social and political spectrum of the country.\n It was founded by a group of young people, inspired by the Transatlantic Integrated Leaders Conference that took place in Copenhagen, Denmark in April 2012.<\/p>\n

At the same time, it nurtures a multi-level action in the field of youth and vulnerable groups - immigrants, refugees. It\u2019s very important to mention that the main goal of educating and raising awareness of society, especially young people, in cultural, historical, religious, social and political developments, refers to the ability of moving up in their communities and taking the lead in future developments with sufficient knowledge and experiences from the multicultural reality in which they are called to live and act fruitfully and constructively to everybody\u2019s profit.<\/p>\n

In accordance with the aspiration of the conference related to the training of young leaders, the Institute has started building an active youth movement, having committed itself to assisting in the preparation and special training of young leaders in Greece and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\r\n

Our goals <\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The encouragement and support of entrepreneurship, social and political participation. Additionally, the activation of citizens at national, regional and local level, because of the fact that the pillar of evolution and development reflects the abilities and skills of the younger generation and active citizens.<\/li>\n
  2. The education in leadership abilities and skills of young citizens, as well as the training aimed at the elevation of rising leaders in international relations, considering that young leaders can undoubtedly be empowered through education and training lectures, discussions, group activities, reenactments, short studies, journalism, engaging in personal exercises, political forums and project planning meetings.<\/li>\n
  3. Strengthening Democracy, through increasing political engagement and participation of young people in decision-making processes for the purpose of fostering greater social awareness and increasing trust in democratic processes.<\/li>\n
  4. Special importance is also given to intercultural issues with the aim of mutual understanding and respect for the cultural specificities of different ethnic groups and the creation of networks of cooperation and solidarity between citizens. \u03a4he aforementioned intend to the smooth development and the development of individuals and collectives active in the context of a favored democratic intercultural society.<\/li>\n
  5. Through the series of seminars that are organized, the possibility of improvement in the areas of Leadership, negotiation skills, emotional intelligence and in general for the promotion and development of the institute's goals is provided.<\/li>\n
  6. The provision of all possible support and defense of the rights of Immigrants and generally of foreigners residing in Greece.<\/li>\n
  7. Concern for the study, promotion, elevation, preservation, development and dissemination of the cultural and historical values and traditions of each people among imigrants.<\/li>\n
  8. The cooperation with scientific, spiritual institutions and organizations, associations, other clubs, networks, foundations and in general with any educational institution, Greek or foreign.<\/li>\n
  9. Focusing on securing legal aid to resolve bureaucratic cases and defending women's rights.<\/li>\n
  10. The creation of a legal and social support department that will facilitate the independence and integration of Immigrants, Asylum Seekers, Refugees and those who have been accepted by a humanitarian regime.<\/li>\n
  11. The integration of immigrants into Greek society. Strengthening relations between Greeks and foreigners and creating an atmosphere of mutual trust, respect and understanding.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
