At the initiative of the Institute \"New Leaders - Evolution\" was held on Saturday, September 19 at the headquarters of the Institute in Athens, a meeting with representatives of immigrant communities and representatives of refugees living in Greece.<\/p>\n

This meeting marks the beginning of a series of actions by the Institute with the aim of informing and finding solutions to problems faced by immigrant communities and refugees.<\/p>\n

Among other things, issues related to the new immigration law were discussed. Representatives of the Pakistani, Afghan, Moroccan and Kurdish communities were present, while proposals were submitted for which the Institute will inform the competent bodies.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Conclusions of these conversations are as follows:<\/p>\n

1. The participating associations express their strong opposition and dissatisfaction with the exploitation of the events and problems related to immigration by different political interests.<\/em><\/p>\n

2. Greece and Europe are called upon to create a safe environment for refugees who have been forced to leave their homeland.<\/em><\/p>\n

3. It is very important that the borders are protected by traffickers who exploit refugees.<\/em><\/p>\n

4. Poor living conditions of refugees at the borders of the country.<\/em><\/p>\n

5. Women's rights are non-negotiable human rights. The EU must act quickly and methodically to protect Afghan women.<\/em><\/p>\n

6. It is necessary to strengthen relations between the associations of immigrants and refugees with the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum and to start a dialogue regarding the supervision of integration and training programs.<\/em><\/p>\n
