Jean-Daniel Colombani was born in Nirva, Spain and has lived in Athens for the last 12 years. He spent his school years in Marseille, where he finished school in 1996. He graduated from the Department of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Amiens and continued his studies at the School of Professional Journalism in France. Among the highlights of his student days in journalism were interviews with Libyan President and African Union President Muammar Gaddafi as well as with former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan. His academic journey continued with Political Science.

Since 2000, he has worked for international newspapers around the world. In 2002, he was a correspondent for the Arab network Aljazeera. He published the newspaper "Le monde Hellas" until 2004 and since 2005 he has been the publisher of newspapers published in 7 languages throughout the European Union.

In the years 2006-2007, he was a recognized envoy in Brussels while in 2008 he worked as an envoy of the French channel FRANCE2. He is also a member of the Association of Foreign Journalists of Greece. His involvement with the public begins in his student years, where he was elected twice president of the seven-member council "Free Youth".

He took part in the fight for the completion of the education law in 2002 in Morocco (Casablanca).
From November 2008 until May 2012, he was President of the Hellenic Immigrant Association (I.U.G) where he fought for the change of the Immigration Policy of Greece.

Since June 2012, he is President of Foreign Journalists in Greece.

He has participated in many conferences and educational events such as "European Youth Forum - cofounder of YM +", "European Integration Forum", "International Visitor Leadership Program Of State Department of Usa", "Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Event in Denmark" and "The Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Against Organized Crime ”,“ The Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Against Organized Crime ”and“ Combating Discrimination, Violence and Intolerance based on Religion and National Origin ”.

He was an advisor to the Ministry of Public Order and from August 2013 until 2014 Special Advisor to the Ministry of Health.

He is the father of three children of Emily, Emanuel and Odysseus.
He speaks fluent Greek, French, English, Romanian, Russian, Italian, Spanish and Arabic.
